Congregational Nights

.... are Wednesdays ----6 - 8 p.m. for all ages.  A delicious meal is enjoyed by everybody and then the adults retreat to the parlour for a Bible study.  The rest of the youth and children stay upstairs for a Bible story, games, sports, crafts, drama and sometimes a snack.  The teens help with the little ones and earn community service hours for school.  We are grateful for our wonderful cooks, Bonnie Pittock, Carol Turner who never seem to run out of new menus to try and creative ideas.  Many thanks as well to the clean-up crews.

Each Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. a group meets with God in the library to talk with Him and enjoy His presence.  This group is open to anybody and everybody who wants to pray.  Prayer requests from the Sunday pew registers are always brought before God, as are other needs and concerns that individuals have raised.  The group strives to respect confidentiality so it is always best to check with the person (s) involved before bringing forward names.

Caring for one another is an essential part of being the church.  This year we expanded our Pastoral Care Team so that we could regularly visit people in our congregation who no longer are able to attend church on a regular basis.  These visits provide an opportunity to develop relationships and to share the love of Christ.  Our pastoral care team meets a few times a year to support one another and to develop our pastoral care "skills."  There are others in our congregation who are not members of the pastoral care team who regularly visit and call people to provide pastoral care.  We are grateful to everyone on our team, and for everyone who takes the time to care for one another within our congregation.

Dinner & A Movie

Every few months, a group of Paulin people gather in the Upper Hall on a Saturday night to share a meal and then enjoy a movie together on the big screen (which was a gift by one of our very generous members. we are thankful for this).  We dine on a variety of food (trying to use food to fit the movie), and sharing the cost.  We are grateful to the Pittocks for putting these evenings together.  Everyone is welcome....A sign-up sheet is always posted so we can determine how much food to purchase.

This is a fun night for all who choose to attend.  Watch the bulletin board and Sunday bulletins for details.

As a matter of interest, our attendance averages 25 per movie night.
