Session
In the Presbyterian Church, the Session is our local governing body, composed of ordained elders who provide spiritual leadership and administrative oversight for our congregation and property. Meeting together in a spirit of prayer and discernment, the Session is responsible for shepherding our church programs, managing pastoral care, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and vibrant community life at Paulin. Our elders work continuously behind the scenes to guide our mission, support and communicate with our church families, and to ensure our building remains a welcoming hub for everyone who walks through our doors. Session is led by a “Preaching Elder,” or ordained minister. In the case of a church vacancy, that role is filled by an ordained minister serving as Interim Moderator. The Minister and a representative elder serve on the Presbytery of Essex Kent which is comprised of all the Presbyterian Churches in those two counties.
